The official HD-trailer for the new comedy styled as a Gothic thriller and titled Dark Shadows (2012). In this film brought by the studios GK Films, Village Roadshow Pictures and Warner Bros. the main character is a Vampire travelling to the future times. In 1752 the couple of Joshua (Ivan Kaye) and Naomi Collins (Susanna Cappellaro) moves from Liverpool to America in search of a better life. At the new place they are able to start and develop fishing business, later forming up a canning factory around the new town Collinsport. Another inhabitant of the ancestral mansion Collinwood Manor is growing up as the offspring named Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp). His affair with the maid Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green) will make Barnabas suffer.

The lover did not realize that his temporary affection had been a real witch making his true loved one, Josette DuPres (Bella Heathcote), die from falling victim to a curse. Angry Angelique decides to extend the suffering of Barnabas and turns him into an immortal and bloodthirsty Vampire, who gets buried into the groud by the Collinsport folks. After 220 years of forced hibernation Barnabas Collins wakes up to discovera world of 1972, where everything looks very different to him. Only a few Collins family representatives survived with their business losing its former glory.

Still in the Dark Shadows film their enterprise is a Canning run by the living family members, including Elizabeth Collins (Michelle Pfeiffer) and her rebellious daughter, Carolyn Stoddard (Chloë Grace Moretz), greedy Roger Collins (Jonny Lee Miller) and his own son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath), which reside together with a mentally unstable psychiatrist – Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter). The arrival of Barnabas is a chance for all of them to improve their business, though they would have to adapt to his Vampirism abilities.

Meanwhile, the old witch has transformed into a young business woman Angie (Eva Green), who is ready to do anything to completely destroy the family of Collins and their reputation. When getting back, Barnabas gets interested in another young maid, Victoria Winters (Bella Heathcote), who looks very similar to his old passion. There is also a role for a heavily drinking butler known as Willie Loomis (Jackie Earle Haley). In a cameo of a fishing captain Silas Clarney a legendary actor Christopher Lee appears.

The Director of the Dark Shadows movie is an American named Tim Burton, who has created the 3D-version for the story of Alice in Wonderland (2010), and now serves as a Producer in the Abraham Lincoln : Vampire Hunter (2012) crew. The Producers’ list for this remake of a popular old U.S. television show Dark Shadows (1966-1971) includes Johnny Depp and Graham King, who was engaged in making the thriller named The Tourist (2010). The Screenplay was adapted by John August, who previously wrote the story for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) title. The Music for the new project was created by a famous Hollywood composer Danny Elfman, and an additional cameo by a well-known rock musician Alice Cooper is complimentary.
