The official HD-trailer for the new Crime Thriller titled Safe (2012). In this film created by such studios as IM Global, Lawrence Bender Productions, Trigger Street Productions, Automatik Entertainment and Lionsgate a story is told about a tough New York cop named Luke Wright and played by Jason Statham. He used to work in the special police Task Force, but once refused to engage in illegal activities with his bribed colleagues. Instead, he stopped them with many his mates including Captain Wolf performed by Robert John Burke losing their jobs and starting to hate him.

At the same time across the ocean the Triads gang leader Han Jiao presented by James Hong kidnaps a gifted 12-year-old girl Mei played by Catherine Chan, wishing to use her own good mathematical skills. The criminals brought her to the U.S. forcing her to be Chinese mafia’s accountant in New York. Her supervisor is Quan Chang shown by Reggie Lee. According to one of her tasks, Mei needs to remember a sequence of digits, which contain hidden safe codes to extract the money and the object hidden for a criminal exchange transaction. However, all the initial plans fail with the attack of the Russian gangsters carried out right on the streets of New York.

The boss of a rival local mafia named Emile Docheski and presented by Sándor Técsy employs his son Vassily brought by Joseph Sikora and some henchmen led by killer Shemyakin delivered by Igor Jijikine. He plans to steal the money of the Chinese Triads, while making a deadly blow to Luke Wright’s family. When a former cop violates the illegal fight club rules, he starts owing a lot of money to the Russian criminals. After losing nearly everything in the Safe movie, Luke is nearly ready to commit suicide in the subway, when he sees lonely Mei pursued by gangsters. The child turns into a new goal in Luke’s life makes him willing to do everything to protect her from all the attacks, also taking some revenge on his previous offenders, while generally cleaning up the city streets from crimes.

A special role in this story belongs to the squad of corrupt cops in the Wolf’s department hosting detectives Kolfax, Mears and Lasky played by Jay Giannone, James Colby, Matt O’Toole and others. Mayor Tremello presented by Chris Sarandon also has his own party here together with a mysterious assistant named Alex Rosen and performed by Anson Mount. The American Director and the writer of this film with a 30 mln. USD budget is Boaz Yakin.

In the past he worked as a writer for the story to a fairy-tale blockbuster known as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010). In the Safe movie some second plan roles went to the people of the Ukrainian origin that once moved to the U.S. The Producers of this film are Dana Brunetti, who earlier invested in making The Social Network (2010) hit and Lawrence Bender helping to release the Pulp Fiction (1994) thriller and the Inglourious Bastards (2009) famous title.
