«Defend Ardania!» (Winners)

In the first nine days of December we were running a contest entitled «Defend Ardania!». All registered users could grab their chance to answer a few questions about the Defenders of Ardania game, what many did! We have got a high number of entries to this competition from the whole Eurasia continent as well as from its surroundings.

The Quiz started a few days before the release of this new Tower Defense title. The game was developed by a Hungarian team at Most Wanted Entertainment. In this Strategy you need to defend your own castle, while attacking the enemy one. You could find more details about it in our detailed Preview. Just as we promised, Five Winners of our contest will get their Steam keys to unlock the video game for PC on their accounts.

Defenders of Ardania is published worldwide by a Swedish company – Paradox Interactive, which supplied us with the prizes for this contests. All the correct answers can already be found at the «Defend Ardania!» quiz page in our media. In total, we have got 1159 entries from 17 countries, including European and Asian ones. Our participants spent around 8 minutes on average to come up with their answers. The toughest question seemed to be the fifth one, since it has accumulated the most incorrect answers. However, its secret was held in the FAQ section at the official game’s website.

Defenders of Ardania

Defenders of Ardania:

A next-generation Tower Defense game set in the rich fantasy world of Majesty (2000-2009), but with a twist. Besides the addictive core mechanics of placing towers to stop advancing enemy units, Defenders of Ardania also allows players to take on the role of the attackers seeking to conquer the enemy base. Innovative new game concepts include light RTS elements, taking the popular genre to the next level.

Players must oversee unit production and upgrades while assembling the most effective army from one of three playable races, each with unique locations, towers, and units. However, without magic, a fantasy game is little more than a toothless lion (or dragon, rather), so a wide range of spells will be available for players to decimate their enemies and protect their forces.

Although Defenders of Ardania includes a single-player portion, the focus of the game is undoubtedly multiplayer, where two to four players can take each other on or compete against AI opponents via Internet, LAN, or PSN. The multiplayer component offers three different game modes where players can assume either the defensive or offensive sides – or both!
